You should buy a renter’s policy from an agent that you trust.  Ask your colleagues and friends.  They will surely recommend someone who can provide the level of service that you need.  Once you have met with that person listen carefully to their recommendations.  Don’t underestimate the value of any of your possessions, or the amount of lawsuit that you could experience.  Make sure all the information you give to the agent is accurate and is then transmitted to the company.  Read your policy when it arrives to make sure it is exactly what you wanted.
