When business is conducted on premises and in property that is not owned by the principals of a business,  a general liability policy - business owner policy is typically required by the landlord.   Actually, it is a very important business expense that a business owner needs, regardless of whether it is required by a landlord or not.  In addition to providing all important liability coverage that is needed for various business activities,  this type of policy also provides some business property coverage.  For example, there is coverage for theft and other perils that might adversely affect business  property.   This type of policy usually includes coverage for advertising liability and several other valuable coverages that a business needs.
There are many endorsements that can be added, to tailor the policy to the needs of the particular business operations.
