Does Renters Insurance Cover Rodent Damage?
- 7647 POINTSview profileMark Bartlett CLCSBranch Owner, TWFG Insurance Services, Fremont California and the Greater Bay Area Representing Dozens of Insurance CarriersHomeowners insurance excludes damage caused by insects, pests, and vermin. Rodents would be vermin so there would be no coverage for the damage to the dwelling caused by the rodents. Also rodents would not fall under sudden and accidental as the damage vermin cause is over a time period. Time to call the exterminator unless you can find yourself a good cat.Answered on June 28, 2013flag this answer
