Does Renters Insurance Cover A Refrigerator?
- 37376 POINTSview profileDavid G. Pipes, CLU®, RICP®Business Development Officer, T.D. McNeil Insurance Services, Fresno, CaliforniaOne of the main coverages in a renter’s policy is personal property. If you own the refrigerator and it is damaged due to a “covered peril” the policy will pay the value minus your policy deductible. There were several terms that need your attention; “covered peril” excludes normal wear and tear. Another term is “value” as the way that is determined is governed by the policy and should be checked.Answered on May 12, 2014flag this answer
