Medicare provides coverage for treatment that is considered medically necessary. In most cases, residents in assisted living facilities will not qualify for coverage under their Medicare plan.
If Medicare is to pay you must be admitted to a skilled nursing facility following a qualified hospital stay of at least 3 days as an inpatient.
