Once every 12 months if you’re at high risk for cervical or vaginal cancer, or if you’re of childbearing age and have had an abnormal Pap test in the past 36 months
You can check to see if any individual test, item, or service is covered by Medicare by going to the Medicare.gov website. Under Medicare Part B gynecological visits are covered. PAP test, pelvic exam, breast exam and mammograms are covered and Medicare will cover all of these services with no deductible or coinsurance as long as your doctor accepts Medicare assignment. Your doctor will be able to tell you how often Medicare will cover these exams and tests.
