Is Home Insurance Deductible From Taxes?
- 16470 POINTSview profileDavid OsgoodAgent, Rural Mutual Insurance Co., Union Grove, WIThat is really a question for your tax accountant/preparer. Based on my own knowledge, education, and experience in the field so far, I would have to say for the average consumer homeowners insurance premiums are not a deductible for their taxes. There may be instances where it is, but the tax laws change from year to year and each persons situation is different.Answered on October 14, 2013flag this answer
