A homeowner’s policy makes you “whole” if you suffer damage from any of the “stated perils” of the policy.  Most homeowner’s policies specifically exclude damage as a result of an infestation of insects.  However, if the damage is hidden and results in a collapse of part of the building, the damage is likely to be covered.  Routine damage by termites isn’t normally covered.
