Does Home Insurance Cover Oil Tank Removal?
- 16470 POINTSview profileDavid OsgoodAgent, Rural Mutual Insurance Co., Union Grove, WIUnless there are extenuating circumstances behind the removal of the oil tank, I don't believe that the removal would be covered under any homeowners policy. This would typically be designated as a maintainance issue not a claim issue. If the home is being converted to gas or electric heat from oil it would be the homeowners responsibility to dispose of the oil tank properly.Answered on May 30, 2013flag this answer
