    No, your carrier cannot change your policy when they want to. The policy is a contract that states you receive coverage in exchange for the payment of premiums. The policy can lapse and subsequently be terminated by the carrier if you don't pay your premiums (when the policy lapses, no coverage is provided) or if you falsify information on your application.
