Shopping for car insurance can be frustrating at best.  I would recommend working with a broker who can and is representing several companies so they can shop around for you, giving you the REQUIRED coverage mandated by your state.  You would want to look at other options as well including how fast are claims paid.  Find out if the company has any complaints against them.

Second, you can go online however there are those REQUIRED coverage's which the online quoting may not put on for you.  Yes, you do not have to talk to anyone however I believe you would be doing yourself a disservice.

Contact your insurance agent for information about automobile insurance.  If you don’t have an agent get recommendations from friends, colleagues or neighbors.  A good agent will listen to you, provide competent financial advice and communicate clearly with both you and the company.  Price isn’t the most important issue.  The most important issue is to have appropriate coverage.  It is not good to find out that your coverage is inadequate when you have a claim.

Shopping for car insurance the right way will save you money, time and a lot more! It's important to consider all of the major carriers and make certain all available discounts are being applied. Utilizing an experienced broker is critical to finding the best available offers. Of course, you never pay a fee with a broker.
