If your plants, trees, shrubs or lawn are damaged, vandalized or stolen your homeowner’s policy should cover the loss.  There are specific “perils” that it covers; fire, lightning, explosion, riot, civil commotion, and aircraft.  It does not include damage done by a vehicle owned or operated by a resident of your home.
