    Yes, you can contribute to more than one retirement plan, but you have to be mindful of the contribution limits. If, for example, you have two jobs and each of your employers offers a 401(k) plan, you must be careful not to exceed the annual contribution limits. This year (2013) you can contribute a maximum of $17,500 to your 401(k). That's the total amount you can contribute to all plans. You can split this contribution between your plans as you see fit (Hint: take advantage of your employer's matching contribution), but the total amount contributed to all plans must not exceed the contribution limit.
