Why Does Landlord Require Renters Insurance?

    The landlord is trying to make sure that you are able to handle any lawsuit arising from your being in his building.  He is also trying to make sure that you understand that he doesn’t have any liability for loss of your personal property, regardless of the reason.  Many tenants do not understand this.
