    A good amount of renters insurance is the amount you are satisfied with having! An appropriate amount is that which covers the personal belongings you own.  In addition scheduled articles floaters may be appropriate for items that are limited in coverage, such as jewelry, furs, silverware, guns.  Included personal liability coverage will be in an amount to protect your present and future assets.  A good amount of coverage will cover what you are NOT prepared to pay for yourself out of pocket in the event of a claim.  And your insurance professional can help you put together a plan to just that.

    A good amount of coverage for renters insurance is going to vary from individual to individual. Most carriers renters insurance policy's start at 15000. Your coverage amount should be high enough to pay for the replacement of your personal items. I would suggest using 10000 per direct family member as a bare minimum for base coverage amount. Contact a local agent and they can help you determine the amount of coverage that will work for you and your budget.
