Is It Legal To Require Renters Insurance?

    A landlord has the right to protect himself from lawsuit.  There are no laws that says he has to require it but there are also no laws that says he cant. By requiring renters insurance the landlord protects himself in the event of being sued for the tenants negligence that causes bodily injury.  Yes it is legal.
