In my book of business the average renter’s policy would be around $150.  That may not be very helpful as your circumstances are unique.  Every policy is tailored to your individual requirements.  The premium is closely linked to the value of your personal property.  Sometimes in an effort to keep the premium low, customers will report very low personal property limits.  When a claim comes they discover how really expensive it is to replace their personal property.  The company will pay to the limits of the policy.  That is when the policy becomes very expensive, it doesn’t cover the loss.
