Does State Farm Renters Insurance Cover Bed Bugs?
- 16470 POINTSview profileDavid OsgoodAgent, Rural Mutual Insurance Co., Union Grove, WII do not believe any insurance carrier will cover an insect infestation. It is typically expected that the property owner and the tenant will take the necessary precautions to prevent insect infestations. This would not be a typical covered risk which is fire, smoke, lightning, wind to mention the major ones. Please remember every policy and carrier is different. Read your policy completely to understand the coverage provided and any exclusions that it may contain.Answered on May 30, 2013flag this answer
