   Pet liability is a big issue and generally when the question is asked it pertains to a dog. Most renters insurance  will exclude certain types of dogs if they bit someone. These particular dogs but not limited to are pit bulls, boxers, Akita,  rottweilers, chows, and maybe  more. It is very important you speak with a local agent on this issue about the breed of dog you own and if your renters insurance would protect you in the event of a dog bite.
