Does Renters Insurance Cover Items Your Car?

    Your renter’s policy covers personal property.  Most policies have a 10% limit on property that is not in the residence at the time of loss.  If you had $30,000 of property coverage and your guitar was stolen from your car, it would be covered up to $3,000.  The policy excludes professional equipment.  If you advertise on Facebook that you play music for Bah Mitzvah’s, expect a decline.
