in a word, no it doesn't.  You will find that typically any form of residential property policy, be it Renters, Condo Unit Owners or Homeowners', excludes coverage for motor vehicles.  Coverage for your car is available only by purchasing an auto insurance policy.  In order to have protection for your car you will need to have your Insurance Professional include physical damage coverage, namely both Comprehensive and Collision.

That is a great question! Unfortunately, the answer not so much...In almost every case, the renters policy will only cover the contents of the apartment, and not apply to other areas, like your car, or your health, if you get sick. Those things need policies of their own, so in the case of your car, that would be a claim for your auto insurance, not your renters. Same with your health, you would need to have a health insurance policy to cover your illness. Call your auto agent, (assuming the damage is more than your deductible) and file a claim there. Thanks for asking!
