Does Renters Insurance Cover A Pool?
- 7647 POINTSview profileMark Bartlett CLCSBranch Owner, TWFG Insurance Services, Fremont California and the Greater Bay Area Representing Dozens of Insurance CarriersSince this question is asked of renters insurance and a renter does not own the dwelling nor the pool that comes with it I must assume this is a liability question. If a tenant is for example having friends over and someone slips and falls or worst case drowns in the pool there is a high probability the tenant will be sued. In this case the renters insurance liability portion of the policy will have to defend. If for some reason the tenant caused some type of damage to the pool itself (property damage) and the landlord wants to sue the tenant for damages at the very least the liability portion of the renters policy must still defend.Answered on May 14, 2013flag this answer
