Does My Renters Insurance Cover Flood Damage?
- 1615 POINTSview profileRyan AndrewPresident, The Andrew Agency, Richmond, VAFlood damage is excluded on just about every home, condo and renters policy. In order to have coverage for flood damage you need flood insurance which is a separate policy. The cost for flood insurance depends on your area and flood zone. FEMA regulates flood insurance so rates are the same with all companies who service flood insurance.Answered on September 12, 2013flag this answer
