Renters insurance (and Homeowners Insurance) does not cover flood. It will cover water damage due to sewer backup if the appropriate endorsement is in place. It may also cover water damage due to pipe breakage depending on the cause of the break. If you live in a flood zone you need to look into your State Flood Insurance program.
Flood Insurance is a separate coverage from Renter's or Home and is backed by FEMA, a government run program.
Renter's and home insurance will cover certain water damage such as water back up or the damage caused by a pipe breakage.
My experience is if you live in an area that is near water or an area that can collect pockets of water based on the terrain, consider a Flood policy in addition to your home or renter's policy.

Thanks for your question. As with all specific claims and coverage questions, the best person to ask is either an agent of Geico or the Insurance company themselves.
However, in general... it depends what you mean by a flood. If you are referring to a "Flood Event" such as water rising from outside then gets inside your home, then no, homeowners and renters insurance typically excludes this. This would most often be covered by a Separate FEMA Flood Policy for (in this situation) just your personal property. FEMA flood insurance covers personal property on an actual cash value basis.
If you are referring to a burst pipe, that floods your bedroom. Perhaps, check your policy and ask your insurance company.
If you are referring to a flood from a backup drain, than overruns into your bedroom, perhaps if you either have a broad coverage form or have it endorsed to cover you for that.
