Can You Add People To Your Renters Insurance?
- 37376 POINTSview profileDavid G. Pipes, CLU®, RICP®Business Development Officer, T.D. McNeil Insurance Services, Fresno, CaliforniaThe standard definition of who is covered under a renter’s policy is of course you, your relatives who live with you, anyone under 21 who is under your care and your legal representative if you were to die. If someone doesn’t meet these categories and reside in the residence with you they can probably be named. Check with your agent to determine how that can be handled. If you want someone who doesn’t live with you to have coverage, that probably cannot be done.Answered on March 31, 2014flag this answer
