Will Medicare Pay For Motorized Wheelchair?
- 63333 POINTSview profilePeggy MaceMost of the U.S.Medicare will pay for a motorized wheelchair if the wheelchair is medically necessary, as determined by a face to face evaluation. The person using the motorized chair must be able to use it safely, must be unable to do one or more ADL's without it, and their home must accommodate it. Finally, Medicare will pay for the motorized wheelchair only if less costly devices will not work to accomplish that need.Answered on August 3, 2013flag this answer
