You may not need Medicare Part C.

Medicare Part C has evolved into what is now referred to as Medicare Advantage plans. With an Advantage plan you are in a privatized Medicare system run by insurance carriers. Most Advantage plans have networks with strict penalties if you use a non-par provider and considerably more out of pocket than with original Medicare and a supplement plan.
