Where Does Medicare Get Its Funding?

McNeil Insurance Services, Fresno, CaliforniaA quick look at your pay stub will show you the source of most of the funding for Medicare. If that funding proves inadequate then congress will have to decide what to do next. Medicare is fully paid to all citizens who have 40 good quarters of FICA contributions or meet certain other qualifications dealing with disability. When you select Medicare B and/or D, then you will be charged an additional amount to cover the cost of that benefit.Answered on March 13, 2014flag this answer
