   Medicare Part B covers diagnostic tests, including x-rays, when your doctor has determined it is needed to help diagnose a medical problem. Part B will pay about 80% of the expenses - you'll be responsible for paying the other 20%. A Medicare supplement plan can cover the 20% of expenses you would otherwise be responsible for.
