When Does Medicare Cover Nursing Home Care?
- 1350 POINTSview profileKatherine McDanielsOwner/Insurance Broker, KM Health Insurance Services, Hazel Crest, IllinoisThis is a great question, it confuses many people. Medicare covers skilled nursing care which is Medical care but does not cover custodial care also known as non medical care, such as help dressing, bathing, eating. This is the reason most people look into A Long Term Care plan that does include custodial care. Hope this helps.Answered on May 9, 2013flag this answer
