    Medicare will cover vaccines and immunizations that help prevent influenza (the flu), Pneumonia, and Hepatitis B (for those at risk) - you would generally not be not be subject to any deductible, coinsurance, or copayments if your provider accepts assignment (accepting the Medicare approved amount as payment in full). For doctors who do not accept assignment, they may charge you an excess charge - Medicare supplement plans F & G can cover these charges for you.

    Some other shots can be covered by Medicare for other situations such as getting bitten by a dog and receiving a rabies shot or stepping on a rusty nail and getting a tetanus shot.

    You would generally be looking at Part D coverage for other vaccines.
