   Signing up for Medicare is a fairly simple process. It can be completed online through the social security's website. The common information needed would be your general information (name, date of birth, social security number, etc.). If any additional information is needed, social security would contact you to get it. The entire process can be done in less than 20 minutes.
   
   A lot of people look at purchasing a Medigap plan and Part D plan as well to go with their original Medicare coverage (Parts A & B).
