Psychiatric coverage, inpatient and outpatient, are covered items under Medicare. Inpatient care is under Medicare Part A, outpatient with Medicare Part B.
Outpatient care does not include job testing or training, or support groups. Inpatient coverage does not cover private room unless medically necessary or private duty nursing.
