To clarify your question - are you asking for a statistical figure as to how many specific claims were made for chiropractic services? Or are you asking if chiropractic services are covered by Medicare?

If you're looking for statistical data, I would suggest contacting CMS (the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services) or Medicare for help determining that figure - insurance agents would be very unlikely to have that data available for a specific type of claim on hand (I myself do not).

If you're looking for input regarding if chiropractic services can be covered by Medicare, then the answer would be it depends. Medicare part B may cover some chiropractic services if they are deemed medically necessary to correct a subluxation in the spine. If it's not deemed medically necessary, then it wouldn't be covered.

If you have a Medigap plan (also known as a Medicare Supplement plan), the plan would only pay their portion of services if Medicare approves the claim. If Medicare doesn't approve it, then the Medigap plan won't be able to approve the charge.

I hope the information is helpful - please feel free to contact me for help with your coverage and if you have any other questions. Thanks very much.
