    Yes. When you hear the term Medicare Supplement insurance, it is the same as Medigap.

    If you hear the interchangeable terms (Medicare Supplement insurance or Medigap Plan) it is referring to private health insurance designed to supplement Original Medicare Part A and Part B. In other words, it helps pay some of the costs that Part A and Part B doesn't cover -- copays, coinsurance, and deductibles.
