If Medicare Denies Will Secondary Pay?

It is a SUPPLEMENT to Medicare which, by definition, means it will only pay claims that are originally approved by Medicare but not paid by Medicare due to deductibles, copay's and coinsurance. But there are a few situations where your supplement plan will pay a non-approved Medicare claim. Foreign travel is one.Answered on October 6, 2013+11 0+1 this answerflag this answerview more answers by Bob Vineyard

Since Medicare is primary once Medicare approves the claim the Supplement has to pay its part. If Medicare does not approve the claim your Supplement will not pay. If your doctor does a Medicare approved service there is no reason that both Medicare and your Supplement won't work together to pay your claim.Answered on May 23, 2016flag this answer
