Most people are automatically enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B when they turn 65. Your cards should arrive a few months before your 65th birthday.
If your birthday falls on the first day of the month your Medicare coverage begins the first of the prior month. If your birthday is July 1 your Medicare begins on June 1. Otherwise, your coverage begins the first day of the month you turn 65
