    Medicare does not cover the zoster vaccine.

    Zostavax (the common name for the vaccine) is for the shingles vaccine shot. Vaccine shots are covered under Part D prescription drug plans. You can use the plan finder tool on the Medicare.gov website to see what plans in your area will cover the vaccine shot.
