After 90 days you would need to use lifetime reserve days or pay all the costs. To qualify for hospice care, a hospice doctor and your doctor must certify that your terminally ill and expected to live 6 months or less. Hospice care is typically at home unless it is determined that it must be medically managed in a facility.
