How Does Medicare Part A And B Work?
- 1305 POINTSview profileNeil SteinmanOwner, Orange County Health & Life Insurance,Part A covers hospitalization. Part B covers most things out of the hospital, such as doctor visits and testing. Part A & B come from the government. Part B covers 80%, so in order to cover the other 20%, most people purchase a Medicare Supplement or Medicare Advantage Plan. Additionally, Part A & B do not cover drugs - so you'll purchase drug coverage separately. So to summarize, A & B comes from the government - and you can work with a broker to get a Medicare Supplement and Drug Coverage.Answered on May 11, 2014flag this answer
