    Signing up for Medicare in Georgia is no different from any other state. When you turn 65 you should be automatically enrolled in Medicare Part A and Part B if you meet the eligibility requirements.

    Once in the Medicare system you need to decide if you want an Advantage plan or original Medicare and a Medigap plan.

    In order for someone to receive Medicare you need to be disable or age 65.  You will need to be disable for 2 years to receive Medicare.  At age 65 you will  be eligible to apply for Medicare 3 months before you turn age 65 the month of your birthday and 3 months after your birthday.
    Once you apply for Medicare you will need to apply for additional health 20% that Original Medicare does not coverage.  Original Medicare only coverage's 80% of you Medicare bills.  You will have the options to apply for a Part C plan Medicare Advantage, Part D plan many plans or a Medicare Supplement plan.
