   In some situations Medicare may offer coverage for an LVAD (left ventricular assist device). 
   
   If you are approved and listed for a heart transplant under Medicare you may have coverage. The surgery must be performed in a Medicare approved facility.
   
   Check with your doctor and Medicare to determine the extent of your coverage.
