If the drug is self administered in your home the cost of the drug might be covered under your Part D.

Medicare will pay for IV antibiotics that are administered in a physician's office, in a hospital, or at a skilled nursing facility. Medicare will not pay for IV antibiotics that are administered in ones home. This applies to all infusion therapies, not just those that are used for antibiotics.
