63333 POINTSview profilePeggy MaceMost of the U.S.Unfortunately, Medicare does not pay for Esteem hearing implant because it is a fully implantable inner ear hearing aid, and hearing aids are excluded. Medicare will cover prosthetic devices that replace the function of the middle ear, but does not address whether Esteem is considered this type of prosthetic device.Answered on June 25, 2013flag this answer
