Does Medicare Cover Erectile Dysfunction Pumps?
- 11498 POINTSview profileJason GoldenzweigCo-Founder, TermInsuranceBrokers.com, Goldenzweig Financial Group, Las Vegas, NevadaMedicare does cover vacuum erection systems (VES), believe it or not, if you have a medical condition. These pumps are recognized as a treatment device for erectile dysfunction. This may change in the future though as there have been reports in the media that Medicare may consider changing the coverage parameters for this type of item or possibly not cover it at all. I would recommend checking with Medicare before buying one if you want to see if it'll be covered. You can always pay for it out-of-pocket though.Answered on May 8, 2014flag this answer
