    You do not need to apply for Medicare Part A. It will be given to you at no cost when you turn age 65 if you have paid social security taxes for 10-years or more or qualify from your working spouse.

    Part B will come automatically if you are collecting social security when you turn age 65. You can opt out of Part B if you don't need it yet and have other coverage.

    If you want Part C you will have to apply for it.

    Part D you need to apply for.
