If the MRI is medically necessary (ordered by your doctor), then Medicare would cover the examination. Please note, original Medicare (Parts A & B) does not cover it at 100% (it only covers about 80% of healthcare expenses), you would be responsible for the remaining balance after Medicare pays their share. If you haven't done so already, you can add a Medigap plan to cover all or a portion of the other 20%.

I hope the information is helpful - please feel free to contact me for assistance with your program and if you have any further questions. Thanks very much.

MRI and other diagnostic tests are covered under Medicare Part B. After the annual deductible of $183 is met Medicare covers 80% of Part B medical expenses. If you have a Medicare Supplement it will pay the other 20%. Between Medicare and a Supplement your cost is $0 for diagnostic tests once the Part B deductible has been met.
