    Medicare will cover a breast reduction, but you'll need to meet the guidelines.  Unlike private insurance where you get pre-authorized, you'll need to meet these specific guidelines:


    Individual weight of the breasts
    Amount to be removed

    A big problem you'll run into is that breast reductions are performed by plastic surgeons and many do not accept medicare coverage.  Begin this conversation with your surgeon from day 1 to assure you're using the correct physician.
