It is important to get Long Term Care Insurance while you can still qualify for it. If you are under age 50 and are starting to have trouble with your joints, or lab results are starting to point to getting a chronic health condition, go out and get your Long Term Care policy ASAP. When those things get worse, you may no longer be able to qualify for Long Term Care.

If you are over 60 and are still healthy, go ahead and get your Long Term Care Insurance then. Waiting until you are older will only make the rates higher, and you never know if a health condition might develop that will hinder your plans to purchase an LTC policy.
