How Long Does Long Term Care Insurance Last?
- 120 POINTSview profileTom PichtLong-Term Care insurance with most major carriers has many variables and options, one of which is the number of months/years of the benefit period. It is very important to understand exactly how the benefit period is determined, with the major difference being whether the benefits is based on daily benefits or monthly benefits. If your policy has monthly benefits, you have more flexibility in how you can use the benefits especially in regards to home health care. And if you don't use all of your monthly benefit amount, the months/years of the policy can be extended out to last longer.Answered on June 4, 2013flag this answer
